XChange File Converter
XChange converts generic audio files, including .WAV, .MP2, and .MP3 to DCS, Maestro & XStudio .DAF files. The resulting .DAF file can be PCM linear audio, apt-X(tm) encoded or MPEG-2 encoded. When used with a DCS or Maestro system, converted files can be targeted directly to an ACP Server for immediate and transparent insertion of the converted audio into the system inventory. Software encoders must be present on the system for either apt-X or MPEG encoding. A unique cart editor provides facilities for auditioning the source audio, setting the converted file's audio length and AUX mark, and entering the description, agency information, start and end dates, and audio distribution. Source files can be converted singly or in groups (batches). Converted files adhere to the DAF version 1.3 specifications.

Full Version for $299.00
Does not include MPEG2 or apt-X encoders.

XTractor
XTractor is a CD ripper for DCS, Maestro & XStudio systems. Converts CD audio to Computer Concepts' .DAF file format and provides for cart number, description, agency field, begin/end dates, log length, actual length and aux mark. When used in conjunction with ACP systems, rip direct to the audio system with no intermediate steps. Features Dyna^Level, which analyzes the audio file for the absolute peak and then adjusts the digital copy level to your predetermined peak level. It corrects for level differences between cuts and CD's, but does not affect the dynamic range. Output .DAF file is linear. To encode MPEG-II audio, requires the Encoder - MPEG II software module. To either encode or decode apt-X(tm) audio, requires the Encoder - apt-X software module.

XStudio Voice Tracker
XStudio Voice Tracker is used for show-preparation - creating voice segments for automated radio station programming. It can be used with our XStudio audio delivery system or DCS(tm) and Maestro(tm) systems. XStudio Voice Tracker was created to meet changing automation show-preparation demands. Freeing up production studio time (the most common location for voice-tracking), being able to run on inexpensive hardware, ease of use, flexibility, and remote voice-tracking are some of the demands that dictated the design and implementation of XStudio Voice Tracker. XStudio Voice Tracker is self-contained - there are no dependencies on the presence of an on-air delivery system (either XStudio or dMarcs Maestro & DCS). The software is typically installed on a standard PC. For playback and recording, the PC's built-in sound card can be used or, for more flexibility, a multi-channel audio card can be used. Generally, any sound card that has standard Windows ACM drivers available for your operating system can be used. Selected higher-end audio cards from Audio Science and Digigram can also be used. XStudio Voice Tracker simplifies the process of pre-recording all of your voice segments for future air shifts. Users can preview the log, audition audio elements on the log and test element segues to ensure tight voice-overs. Voice tracks for an air shift can be created "cold" - with no rehearsal - or with full rehearsal of the audio sequence, starting with the last few seconds of the preceding song, the voice track, and the first few seconds of the succeeding song. Extensive use of function keys means initiating a recording sequence is a single button-push (or mouse click). Voice track carts (audio files) can be stored in a location separate from the music, jingles, and commercials library, isolating the files for ease in locating and transferring files to a remote location. The user interface is very customizable, making extensive use of tool bars and dockable controls that can be moved around and even become "floating". Settings are automatically saved on program exit and restored the next time XStudio Voice Tracker is used.

iDAF Pro
The desire to have more complete information about Computer Concepts Corporation's .DAF files was the motivation to create iDAF. iDAF provides the means to scan hard disks, searching for and cataloguing all .DAF files found. All information available in CCC's cart header is extracted and organized in an easy-to-read tabular display. Displayed cart information can be filtered several ways, including cart numbers, file types and description, to name a few. In fact, all available information about a particular audio file can be used for filtering and grouping of the displayed information. Showing just expired audio carts is a matter of clicking on a button, as is showing only future-dated audio files. Displayed cart information can be further organized by hiding or showing columns of information on-demand. Thus, if you are only looking at certain aspects of the audio files, you can remove extraneous information from the display and later restore it on-demand. Unlike the standard DCS or Maestro inventory information, iDAF shows you key information like cart distribution, multi-cut rotation, sample rate, stereo/monaural settings, type of encoding used (PCM, apt-X, MPEG), number of revisions that have been made to the audio, owner node of the audio, date/time stamp of the file, and even the analog and digital gain trim values. Once information has been organized in a suitable way, the information can be exported to any of a number of popular file formats, including standard text, XML, HTML, and Excel (XLS) formats for further analysis or to just provide a list of carts to someone who may need to do maintenance on out-of-date audio, etc. There are times when it is desirable to copy selected audio files from one location to another, and that feature is provided, too. Registered users of iDAF gain advanced features like the ability to edit cart header information, including begin and end dates, distribution, description, agency field, multi-cut rotation and audio gain. Edited information is committed safely by initially making a copy of the audio file, modifying the header information, and then creating the finished file.

ezAudit
ezAudit is an application for displaying and printing Computer Concepts' DCS(tm), Maestro(tm) and dcsTools.com's XStudio audit data files. As a control room DCS, Maestro or XStudio unit is running, it writes performance data to a special file, known as an audit file. The data in the file is stored as binary information and reflects what the host audio system knows happened or did not happen during operation. Information includes such things as the successful play of an audit item (or failure of same), receipt of external stimulus (relays or closures), and actions taken by the host audio system. ezAudit is able to read audit data files adhering to Computer Concepts' DCS Audit File (.ADT) Specification, version 1.6. This includes all DCS software versions and all Maestro software versions through v3.1.

DArc32
DArc32 makes the task of archiving files used and produced by DCS(tm), Maestro(tm) and XStudio systems quicker and easier. These products use a log, which is the source document produced either by your traffic system or is a "merged" file that combines your music scheduling system's music log content and your traffic system's commercial content. They also automatically create an "audit" file, which includes information on what the system did, including the playing of audio, information on receipt of outside stimuli (like a network "tone" or "relay"), and other useful information on what the system did. Instead of having to remember how these files are named, and then picking the correct ones for a given date range, DArc32 presents you with a calendar from which to select a beginning and ending archive date. You may elect to archive either log or audit files - or both types. You may choose to simply move the files to an archive location, or you can "zip" the files, reducing the space required for archiving.
